From the first high rise apartment building in Tauranga to commercial buildings, international and local luxury homes Matts breadth of experience is a guiding force at Insight.

Matt's creative design understanding and flair for combining space and light to create award winning designs has brought Matt regional and national recognition for his work. Matt is very passionate about architecture and strives to produce exceptional designs for his clients.

Since the creation of Insight Architecture Matt's vision for the business has been to provide his clients with the innovative design and quality service they deserve.

When family and work allow, Matt loves to be in the outdoors tramping, fishing or snowboarding.

Richard Hale NZCAD.Arch

Director

Having worked on a vast range of projects such as hospitals, wineries, high-rises, apartments and commercial premises in the early days, a shift to his own business in 2001 seemed the logical step. Since 2001 Richard has been forging a path with architectural design to delight clients, produce technically brilliant plans, and create a modern architectural firm with a focus on creativity and a great step away from the ordinary. He has a passion with everything life has to offer, enjoys challenging convention and exploring new ideas and has a secret love of very fast motorbikes, boats and cars.

Matt & Richard joined forces in April 2003 with a vision to create an Architectural design practice that would deliver clients the vision, service, and attention to detail they truly deserved. They are incredibly passionate about great design and get a real buzz when they visit a completed project and see clients expectations exceeded.

Nothing goes unnoticed when Carolyn is around! Her attention to detail and great communication skills means the practice runs smoothly, everyone is happy and most importantly, Matt & Richard can concentrate on designing for their clients.

Fleur's overseas experience in both Europe and Australia brings a wealth of expertise to Insight. She works closely with the designers, bringing designs to life using 3d design technology. Even when deadlines are looming, you can guarantee Fleur will always remain calm and collected.

A long standing member of the Insight team, Aaron supports the design team and is a real expert in some of the latest technologies and building practices. He also has real sweet tooth! And if you want something done quick, the odd savoury goes a long way.

Sandra Varley

Luckily for the office, Sandra is casual timer and often very relaxed. Very rarely quiet, either sounding out her ideas with the team or on the phone - it's sometimes a relief for the team to get some piece and quiet when she leaves! On the flip side she brings in great home cooking most weeks.

Sandra focuses on building the Insight Architecture brand awareness and most of our clients have enjoyed more than one of the fantastic social events she organises for us during the year.
